PUBLIC HEALTH NOTICE
TOWN OF WINDHAM
To protect our residents and employees and to slow the spread of diseases such as COVID-19 and Seasonal Flu in the community at large, we ask that you follow the CDC guidelines listed below.
COVID-19 and/or the seasonal flu may present the following symptoms:
Shortness of breath
If you are sick with COVID-19 or suspect you are infected with the COVID-19 virus, STAY AT HOME, EXCEPT TO SEEK MEDICAL CARE.
DO NOT GO TO WORK, SCHOOL, OR PUBLIC AREAS (SUCH AS THE TOWN HALL, LIBRARY, AND OTHER PUBLIC BUILDINGS). AVOID USING PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, RIDE-SHARING, OR TAXIS.
Out of an abundance of caution, the Town has cancelled all scheduled social programs and social events at Town facilities until 04/01/2020. At this time (03/13/2020) official meetings of Town Boards and Committees will continue as scheduled. Many meetings are broadcast on cable channel 1303, are available for viewing at https://www.windhammaine.us/228/WCCG-TV-7 and can be accessed on Facebook Live if you prefer to watch from home. Meetings or public hearings in excess of 30 people have been cancelled or postponed.
If you are unable to visit Town facilities due to illness, we have many on-line services available at: https://www.windhammaine.us/353/Online-Payments. If you need assistance that is not available through our online services, please call the Town Hall at 892-1901 (Monday – Friday 8am-4pm) instead of coming to a Town facility. We will work with you to accommodate your needs as best as possible.
