Today's movie portrays the remarkable true story of All-American football star Michael Oher. Michael is a teenager surviving on his own, virtually homeless, when he is spotted on the street by Leigh Anne Tuohy. What starts out as a gesture of kindness turns into something more as Michael becomes part of the Tuohy family despite the differences in their backgrounds. Stars Quinton Aaron and Sandra Bullock.

The Maine Humanities Council will partner with the Windham Public Library to bring the Let’s Talk About It series “A Matter of Trust: Journalism, Democracy, and Truth” once each month, January 2020 through May 2020. There is no charge for this program and the Maine Humanities Council supplies copies of the books and articles. Participation is limited to twenty people.
